The Story of 15 Beautiful Girls Adrift

Takahiro, the developer of adult games, and Kuroda Kazuya, the creator of anime characters, came up with the idea for Bishoujo Hyouryuuki. The name is a play on Jules Verne’s people’s adventure story Two Years’ Vacation’s Japanese title (15 Shounen Hyouryuuki). 15 Shounen Hyouryuuki was turned into a movie by Toei Animation in 1982, and a television special by Nippon Animation in 1987.

The new 15 Bishoujo Hyouryuuki project concentrates on 15 young students who are shipwrecked on a deserted Pacific island by a violent storm, much like the original story and its two anime remakes in the 1980s. 15 Bishoujo Hyouryuuki will include 15 women instead of 15 men, in contrast to prior iterations.
